This is a Recommended upgrade meaning that issues fixed by the firmware either have minor benefit to the wider community of IsatPhone Pro users and/or contain an important fix but only for specific users.                                                      

The firmware is Not Critical for all users. Inmarsat advises that if you have handsets in stock you should aim to upgrade before distribution. For handsets in the field, as a minimum, please distribute to customers who are planning to use Beam Communications docking stations.

Recommendations for installation

This is a Recommended firmware upgrade, meaning that issues fixed by the firmware either:

• For specific users this firmware upgrade is important. The firmware is not Critical for all users. Inmarsat advises that if you have handsets in stock you should aim to upgrade before distribution. Pre-requisites for installation

IMPORTANT: prior to installation, the handset must be running firmware version 3.0.2 or above. You do not need to install firmware versions between 3.0.2 and 3.0.5a. To check firmware versions go to menu>tools>about>firmware version

Installing IsatPhone Pro firmware 3.0.5a

To install IsatPhone Pro firmware 3.0.5a:

a. Ensure that USB drivers and the firmware upgrade tool are installed on your PC 

b. Double click on Inmarsat’s firmware upgrade tool and follow on screen instructions. The firmware upgrade will take approximately 15 minutes.

After installation, you can check the firmware version by switching on the phone and selecting menu>tools>about>firmware version
