September is the Busiest Month for Hurricanes
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, September is traditionally the month that has the most hurricanes. Data from 1851 to 2010 tells us that on average, we have 550 tropical storms and 381 hurricanes, with 104 of those hurricanes making landfall.
